Expedition Cruise Specialists to add Rivers of West Africa expedition to their portfolio of the world’s best expedition and adventure cruises
The eight-day cruise, operated by the yacht-like, 42-passenger Harmony G, launches in April 2018 and promises a voyage of discovery from Dakar, Senegal to the heart of the African continent.
During the expedition, several days are spent exploring Gambia’s mighty 1,000 kilometre, wildlife-rich Gambia River, with visits to Banjul, Tendaba, Kuntaur and historic Georgetown. There will also be tours of three UNESCO sites, including Senegal’s Sine – Saloum Delta and visits to four National Reserves.
Prices for the eight-day Rivers of West Africa expedition start at €1,550 per person in a Category C cabin.
Andrew Castles, GM of Expedition Cruise Specialists, said he was excited by the launch of this new expedition. “Whilst expedition cruising has been booming in places like the polar regions and Australia’s Kimberley Coast over recent years, it’s great to see more options becoming available in Africa, a continent our travellers regularly ask us about”, he said.
