Pandaw River Expeditions Announces New Ship for Borneo

The Kapuas PandawPandaw are delighted to announce the acquisition of a new ship to be deployed to West Kalimanran, Borneo. This charming twelve cabin river ship, originally called the L’Amant was built in Saigon in 2006 and since then has plied the Mekong Delta offering deluxe cruises.

To be renamed the Kapuas Pandaw the ship will be refitted in the Pandaw style and be delivered to Borneo later this month in good time for the inaugural river expedition on the Kapuas starting in February 2017.

The company had planned to send the larger Tonle Pandaw but concerns over the vessel’s air draft under two key bridges prompted a change of plan. It was fortunate that this very lovely little ship was available to purchase.
Borneo is the next big thing for Pandaw aficionados. In fact, nearly all 2017 Borneo cruises are fully booked, completely with Pandaw regulars.
