Grammy® Award Winners Gregory Porter and Dee Dee Bridgewater Perform on Cunard’s Blue Note Jazz at Sea Transatlantic Crossing
Cunard hosted jazz legends and Grammy® Award-winning musicians Gregory Porter and Dee Dee Bridgewater on their coveted Blue Note Jazz at Sea Transatlantic Crossing, which sailed from New York to Southampton, England on October 25, 2016.
Mr. Porter, his second time traveling and performing on the brand’s flagship ocean liner Queen Mary 2, explains that singing onboard the ship allows him the rare opportunity to connect with his audience before and after performance. Ms. Bridgewater, who recently performed at the White House, was excited to experience her first Transatlantic Crossing on Queen Mary 2 and mingle with guests and fans who booked this voyage just to see her in such an intimate venue.

Earlier this year Queen Mary 2 underwent an extensive refit, costing in the region of $132 million, and it was one of the most remarkable renovations undertaken by Cunard. The newly-renovated Queen Mary 2 takes its art deco design inspiration from the original Queen Mary, which debuted into service 80 years ago.
