Saga guarantees first-time cruise guests can fly home early and receive a refund of cruise fare if they do not enjoy sailing
Saga is so confident that first-time guests will love life on board its award-winning cruise ships that it is offering early flights home and a refund of the cruise fare to anyone who does not enjoy the sailing.
Guests can try a small-ship cruise on Saga Pearl II or Saga Sapphire with a guarantee that if they find the sailing proves ‘not for them’ they can leave the ship at the next available port.
With 99% of Saga passengers describing their cruise experience as ‘good’ or ‘excellent’ in customer feedback, Saga is keen to get more people on board to enjoy the first-class service, fine dining and amenities.
Nigel Blanks, Commercial Director at Saga Cruises, explained why the over-50s company is introducing the ‘Love it first time’ offer.
He said: “One of the greatest challenges of any business is to encourage new customers to try their products.
“With Saga to know us is to love us. We have such a high repeat booking rate that we know that when new people try out the Saga Cruise experience they simply want to come back for more. That’s why we’re so confident with our cruise offering that we underpin it with this satisfaction guarantee.”
The ‘Love it first time’ offer applies to new bookings only and is open to anyone who has not cruised on a Saga-owned ship (Saga Pearl, Saga Rose, Saga Ruby, Spirit of Adventure, Saga Pearl II and Saga Sapphire).
There will be no refund of any costs that passengers have incurred for items bought on the ship or extras such as overnight accommodation and third-party insurance. The guarantee does not affect Saga’s standard booking conditions or pre-departure cancellation policy.
All Saga cruises include a UK travel package to and from the port or airport, all meals and entertainment, choice of table wines at lunch and dinner, afternoon tea, 24-hour room service, welcome cocktail party, unlimited tea and coffee in selected venues, free wi-fi, all on-board gratuities, porterage, free shuttle bus to nearest town centre (whenever possible and when the ship is berthed more than 500 yards away), optional travel insurance and additional cancellation rights, or a discount if passenger has own insurance.
