Astronaut To Feature In Dream Cruises’ Remarkable ‘Dreamscapes’ Onboard Enrichment Programme
Dream Cruises, the first-ever Asian luxury cruise line, announced its ‘Dreamscapes’ programme of inspirational experiences for guests onboard its inaugural ship, Genting Dream, featuring no less than a visit from a real-life astronaut.
Dream Cruises has designed and curated a remarkable programme of interactive guest activities and experiences which will be presented by a portfolio of world-class speakers, who will enthuse and inspire guests with their expertise and passion for their specialist subject. The programme will feature epic stories from award-winning travel photographers and iconic explorers of land, sea and space.

Aspiring adventurers won’t want to miss Genting Dream’s maiden voyage on 12 November and the first enrichment event Explore@Sea: The Silk Road. This event will take guests back in time on the historic trade route that entwined cultures of both East and West, with award-winning National Geographic photographer Michael Yamashita. Michael relives, in pictorial form, the epic journey and inspired legacy of the legendary explorers Marco Polo and Zheng He. Exclusive travel photography consultations with Michael will also be offered on an exclusive one-on-one basis.*
On the voyage commencing 19 November, seafaring adventurers will learn the secrets of the deep during Explore@Sea: The Coral Triangle. Juergen Freund, one of the world’s top marine and wildlife photographers, will take guests through his experiences during his 18-month photo-expedition of the Coral Triangle.
Martial arts fans will get a big kick out of meeting kung-fu star JuJu Chan, who will conduct Lights, Camera and Martial Arts Action on the Genting Dream cruise which departs on 26 November. Popularly known as the ‘female Bruce Lee’, and the star of ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny’, JuJu will conduct martial-arts workshops for guests aspiring to be martial arts movie stars.
Making children’s career dreams an educational reality is the goal of many parents. Plan Your Dreams: Education in the USA, is the theme of special educational workshops on Genting Dream’s cruise which departs on 3 December. One truly remarkable man who has done exactly that is astronaut Dr. Leroy Chiao, who swaps space for the sea, joining the cruise commencing on 10 December.
