Antwerp Tops 100,000 Passengers This Year

Antwerp has over 600 rivership calls this year and is expecting 25 from ocean-going vessels. In total more than 100,000 passengers will visit the Belgian city.

First-time calls are scheduled from Majestic International Cruises’ Ocean Majesty, Oceania Cruises’ Marina (June 17), Azamara Quest, Phoenix Reisen’s Artania, Plantours’ Hamburg and Lindblad Expeditions’ National Geographic Orion as well as The World. At the end of the year, there will be a number of Christmas cruises.

The largest ship coming to Antwerp will be Marina at 239m in length with Crystal Symphony a close second at 238m.

Cruiseships calling July 7 to 10 will benefit from the Tall Ships Races culminating on Saturday evening in a fireworks display on the River Scheldt.
