Christian Savelli named Vice President, Research and Business Analytics at Cruiselines International Association (CLIA)

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) announced that Christian Savelli will join the organization as Vice President, Research and Business Analytics.

Effective today, Savelli will lead CLIA’s research initiatives while supporting and keeping in alignment with CLIA’s objectives and mission of acting as the unified global organization that helps its members succeed by advocating, educating and promoting for the common interests of the cruise community.

A seasoned professional with decades of experience in research and intelligence, Savelli joins CLIA from Meeting Professionals International (MPI) where he served as Senior Director of Business Intelligence and Research. He has a rich background in developing business intelligence, conducting analysis and research, and synthesizing input from multiple sources to deliver executive recommendations. Prior to MPI, Savelli was the Director of Business Intelligence at Maxvantage and Maritz Travel. Additionally, he has ten years of experience in the hotel industry and holds an MBA from Kenan-Flagler Business School, UNC-Chapel Hill.

As Vice President of Research and Business Analytics, Christian Savelli will be responsible for leading CLIA’s internal research department and overseeing business case development. He will also facilitate annual research planning and prioritization process, manage the CLIA Research Committee, advise stakeholders on research thinking and priorities, and assist the association with business modeling. Savelli will be based in CLIA global headquarters in Washington D.C.
